The University of Georgia College of Engineering is a college within the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, Georgia. ==History==
UGA offered the state's first engineering courses in the 1840s and conferred the state’s first engineering degrees in 1868. Due to the Great Depression, however, most engineering programs with the exception of Agricultural Engineering were moved to Georgia Tech. In the summer of 2012, the College of Engineering was established to consolidate several engineering programs housed in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering as well as the Institute of the Faculty of Engineering. This marked the return of a comprehensive engineering program to UGA.
